you aren't made to give unendingly and never replenish yourself.

your daily challenges.
For years, the medical community and insurance companies have practically ignored alternative medicine/therapies. Alternative medicine received official
validation from the US government with the establishment of the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) as a branch of the National Institute of Health.
In response to growing public demand and the hope of reducing healthcare costs, more health plans are including options for alternative methods.
Prudential Insurance Co., which has 45 health plans nationwide, currently covers alternative therapies for particular chronic pain syndromes including massage
therapy as part of pain management. Harvard Medical School is providing information to traditional healthcare providers to help them guide patients in their
use of alternative therapies.
What kinds of massages can I get?
- Swedish Massage - Is what many people think of when massage is mentioned. It uses long light strokes, deep kneading, small friction type motions, light tapping,
and movement of the joints.
- Sports Massage - A combination of Swedish Massage, Stretching and pressure point work that can enhance performance and help prevent or recover injury. Can be
beneficial before and/or after physical activity.
- Shiatsu - Traditional Oriental "finger pressure" massage. The body's meridians, or life energy pathways are encouraged to flow more freely by massaging specific
pressure points. Muscle stiffness and mental tensions can be alleviated, leaving a profound feeling of abandon and renewed vitality.
- Reflexology - Based on the belief that certain Zones in the feet govern specific parts of the body. These zones are massaged to ease the entire body. For anyone
constantly on their feet, this provides relaxation and comfort.
- Paraffin Treatment - Great treat for tired, swollen feet. Reduces swelling in muscles and decreases inflammation of joints and connective tissues.
- Aromatherapy - Essential plant oils, carefully selected for purposes such as to calm, revitalize or heal, are applied using massage techniques to improve
circulation, release toxins, and optimize physical and mental well being.
- Beauty Mit Treatment - Releases tension in hands, soothe and softens. Our experienced massage therapists will also take the time to discuss these treatments and
tailor them to your individual comfort. By listening to you and your body, we will guide your complete escape from hectic society to a tranquil and relaxing experience.

NAIL AND HAND SPA SERVICES
- Dry Nails - Dry nails will look dry with white spots or a dull, powdery finish. Formaldehyde and toulene
can cause dryness, as well as improper diet and not drinking enough water. The nails may have pronounced ridges - you
need daily HYDRATION.
- Brittle Nails - Brittle nails will be very hard and inflexible. The brittle nail will tend to shatter or break low down
towards the nail bed. Brittle nails are also caused by extreme dryness and overuse of "nail hardeners". These contain formal- dehyde that further dries the nail. These nails need to have
their flexibility restored by daily HYDRATION and PROTECTION.
- Normal Nails - The envy of everyone, normal nails will be strong, smooth, pink, and flexible. To keep them in this condition,
MAINTAIN and PROTECT them once a week.
- Damaged/Post Acrylic Nails - Nails may be dry, thin, weak, cracked, lack
luster and show slow or no new growth. Acrylic powders,
resins and glues damage and weaken the nail by seeping into its porous surface and bonding directly with the nail plate. When acrylic hardens,
it expands, causing serious cracking and damage to the natural nail. These nails need daily/weekly PROTECTION.
- Peeling Nails - The main cause of peeling nails is drying the nails and then flooding them with moisture. Hands that are in and out
of water experience this problem. Hormonal changes and some medications can also be a contributory factor. If you have this most common
natural nail problem then you need PROTECTION. Keeping the nail sealed helps. (Only use PROTECTION until the condition improves and
then use one of the treatments for your nail type: Dry, Brittle, Normal, or Damaged).
- Yellowed/Stained Nails - Yellowed nails can be caused by several factors, among them hereditary, medications, smoking, formaldehyde, darker
polishes, and activities such as cleaning, auto repair, gardening, painting, cooking (chopping certain vegetables will stain the skin and nails!)
It is important to wear gloves during these activities. There are several ways to clean and whiten the skin and nails, and they do not require
harsh chemicals. Only patience, MAINTENANCE, AND PROTECTION.
- Glamour - Glamour is the best part and your reward for taking proper care of your nails! GLAMOUR is suitable
for ALL nail types. This is not only your polish color choice, but your own personal style! French Polish, Stones, Nail & Toe Art
Jewelry all
help make your personal fashion statement! Applying top coat every 2-3 days will extend your manicure and protect your nails. Weekly manicures help
MAINTAIN your personal, glamorous look!!
Proper hand care and regular weekly manicures are both part of hand and nail health. All nail types benefit from applying a NOURISHING cuticle oil
daily, preferably before bedtime. Use hand lotion daily and particularly after being in water. (Use one that DOES NOT contain mineral oil or petroleum.
These 2 substances only dry the skin. In addition, the molecules of these two substances are too large to penetrate the skin, cuticles and nails. Therefore,
they only sit on the skin surface and do nothing but make you feel greasy). Bs sure to use a higher quality product and READ THE LABEL.

holds several certificates in various areas of problem nails, as well as the art of sculptured nails. She believes that care of the natural nail is vitally important for
your general health as well as for helping to keep a positive self-image. Hand care is equally important, she notes because your hands will give away your age faster than your face
will. " Your hands and nails tell everyone you meet or shake hands with who you are, and what your lifestyle is. They are your most versatile fashion
accessory: a reflection of
your own unique style. Whether you feel like being natural or elegant, your nails can be too-or if you feel like having fun with them, then you can decorate them in any crazy way you
want!" Barbara takes a personal interest in each client she works with, and believes in educating them on the products, proper maintenance and home care. Barbara has also been
practicing Hand and Foot Reflexology for several years and is currently seeking certification by the American Reflexology Certification Board, through Our Lady of Lourdes Center for
